Lauren & James: Mitton Hall, Lancashire Wedding
I met Lauren and James in Manchester over a drink to talk about their wedding day. As soon as we met up we got along brilliantly and I knew we'd have lots of fun on the wedding day. We met up again closer to the time to go through their final plans and again it was like meeting up with friends you already knew! They met at the nightclub in town where they used to work and he proposed to Lauren on the beach in Benalmadena, Spain!
Bridal Preparation's at Mitton Hall, Lancashire.
I arrived at Mitton Hall to find the party already in full swing. The drinks were flowing and the bridesmaids were already set for a huge party ahead. Everyone got real excited when guests started to arrive as they waved them on from the window and I could tell this excitement was going to continue for the rest of the day! Mitton Hall has as stunning bridal room for you to get ready in during the morning give you lots of space for you and your friends. It also means you can keep the bridal room free from clutter to get pictures of the wedding dress hung nicely.
The wedding service.
One of my favourite things at Mitton Hall has to be the stunning skylights in the reception room. Not only do you have large windows stretching across most of the back wall giving you amazing views of the countryside, but you also have large skylights at the end of the room where the service takes place allowing for the most gorgeous light during your service! Photography is all about light, so when you have it as good as this it makes capturing the perfect image that much more enjoyable.
Before the service James was equally as excited as he greeted guests and chatted with his Groomsmen. As Lauren made her way down the aisle he was grinning from ear to ear and it was obvious why, she couldn't have picked a better dress and looked awesome!
The WEDDING reception and evening fun!
After the service it was time to celebrate with family and friends. This is the perfect time to capture natural, unposed photos of your guests as they mingle and chat. During this time I stole the couple for some portraits in the gardens at the back of Mitton Hall. The place not only offers amazing indoor locations but also has lovely gardens out back, perfect for exploring and to capture great photographs.
After the speeches the couple decided to play Mr and Mrs with each table asking a question. It was a great way to keep the energy up after a meal and it went down a storm and really geared everyone up for the night time event. The evening entertain wasn't just a DJ but also Dax on Sax who had the room bouncing and the dance floor well and truly filled all nice! It was great to see and allowed me to get some great action shots of everyone having a great time.
Wedding Photography at mitton hall, Lancashire
Being a Lancashire wedding photographer I get to work at Mitton Hall quite a bit and every time it's an absolute pleasure. The staff are helpful and the venue offers so much in terms of sights and space. From the old, elegant entrance and bedrooms to a more modern and bright reception room and bar you really do get a good mix. The available light in the reception room and the views make it the perfect place to host your wedding and the grounds also offer lots for you to get your family photos and your couples portraits. It's certainly one of my favourite venues and well worth checking out along with the other venues that James Places has to offer!
