Sally & Andy: Hill Top Farm, Yorkshire Wedding
Sally and Andy found me after seeing a gallery from a previous wedding at the awesome Hill Top Farm. We got together at the quirky Pot Kettle Black in Manchester and I knew it was going to be a perfect match. Awesome meeting place, awesome choice of wedding venue and an awesome couple… WIN WIN!
Preparations for the wedding.
The morning was exactly how a wedding morning should be, smiles all around and everyone having a good time at the on site cottage at Hill Top Farm, North West. The weather was playing nice, which was perfect as the service was taking place outside in beautiful open fields over looking the breathtaking country side and rolling hills. It was a busy morning with guests coming and going during the preparations but I knew this was gearing up to be an amazing day!
Getting married in the countryside at Hill Top Farm, North West.
The service took place outside looking out to the stunning countryside. The wind tried to pick up a little but that didn't effect the day or the fact that the sun was still out! Before the service the groom and best man greeted their guests and had a quick drink with the local Vicar! It was the perfect start to what was going to be a fun filled service with plenty of laughter. Sally looked awesome as she came down the aisle and Andy's suit was the perfect choice for the theme and look of the day.
After the service we headed into the farm area to take some natural portraits before heading back to the wedding party who were busy chatting and drinking in the western style bar area.
The wedding reception during the sunset.
After the wedding breakfast the evening guests started to arrive. This was the perfect time to capture some natural, documentary photos of them laughing and greeting the happy new couple. They then all headed over to the bigger barn for the evening reception. The barn is simply stunning.. it's the perfect place to have a party with a real farm feel, big open fires and a really cool build in bar! Rather than have a wedding cake they decided to have a 'bake off' with guests bringing their own cakes as part of a competition, it was a great idea that went down really well!
Once everyone was in it was time for the speeches. They had the guests in stitches as memories and stories were shared making it the perfect time to capture real images for them to look back on. The guests then headed outside to soak up the dying sun as it set beautifully over the countryside before the evening dancing started.
