F.A.Q's
Can we meet before we book?
Absolutely! Getting to know me as your photographer is important as I'll be with you all day. I'm more than happy to meet couples at my home where I can show you my work over a nice cup of tea!
Do we meet up before the wedding?
Yes, if we don't meet before you book we will certainly meet up before the big day to discuss your arrangements. I'm only a phone call away also, so you can always call to talk things through.
How far will you travel?
I'm happy to travel anywhere around the UK and even around the world! However If your wedding is over 2 hours away then accommodation will have to be provided. This is to ensure I'm not caught in any unexpected traffic and will avoid me being late the morning of your wedding day.
Will you visit the wedding venue before the day?
Photography is all about light, so visiting the venue before your actual day won't give me an idea of how the light will look on the day. What might look like a great location for photos one day could be the exact opposite the day after. For that reason, I leave looking around the venue until the actual day.
Do you have a 2nd shooter?
My wife Emma comes to most of my weddings but if she can't then a good friend will usually join me as an assistant. They are armed with a camera so do take photos as well.
Do you shoot group shots?
Yes! My style is to capture your day like a story, capturing the natural moments. However I understand group shots are timeless and can be shown to family generations for years. I try to keep group shots to around 8 key shots which I have covered in my Wedding Advice section. I'm happy for this to be a little higher but 12 at the very most. Most couples who book me say they want natural, candid photos, however if the entire free time is spent shooting family formals you won't get those photos and a traditional photographer would be better suited.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
A £250 deposit is required to confirm your booking. If you add any albums or extras then you pay for them in full when you pay your final payment.
When do we need to pay the full amount?
The final payment is due on the 1st of the month before your wedding. So if you're getting married August 16th, you'd pay the final payment on the 1st of July. A reminder will be sent a month before.
Do we need to feed you?
Providing food isn't a requirement but after non stop work it certainly won't be turned down! This question is usually asked before the wedding so I know whether to bring food along on the day.
How long does it take to get our photos back?
This can take up to 4 weeks depending on work load but will certainly not be longer. Adding a wedding book to your booking will take a little longer as this is put together from your chosen photos once you have them back. Print time is usually around 10 days.
I didn't order a wedding album when we booked, can I add this later?
Of course! You can buy an album whenever the time suits you best!
